Privacy
Short version: Atom Lab has no accounts. Your progress stays on your own device. If adverts are shown, they come from Google and are not personalised.
What is stored
Your flashcards, progress, streaks, scores and settings are saved in your browser’s local storage on this device only. Nothing is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so use Settings → Back up to keep a copy or move to another device.
Reporting a mistake
If you use “Save and email”, your email app opens with the report addressed to the site owner. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. Reports you save without emailing stay on your device.
Third parties
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when the page loads. Links to Physics & Maths Tutor open their website under their own privacy policy.
Adverts
Atom Lab may show adverts from Google AdSense on the Home page and at the bottom of pages, never inside tests, exam papers or the practical workbench. Ads are requested as non-personalised and with Google’s teen treatment, so they are not based on your browsing history. Google may still use cookies or similar storage to count views, limit how often you see an ad and fight fraud. Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Children
Atom Lab is designed for A-level students, many of whom are under 18. Atom Lab itself does not collect personal information. Adverts, if shown, are non-personalised and age-appropriate.
